Cambridge Settler Colonial History Workshop

Easter Term 2019

We are seeking postgraduate and early career researchers exploring the history of settler colonialism to present their research at one of a series of workshops at the University of Cambridge.

The Workshop welcomes abstracts for papers of 20-30 minutes in length that touch on the theme of settler colonialism, broadly defined. This work may be of a publishable standard, but we also encourage works-in-progress that might benefit from extended group discussion. Given the interdisciplinary scope of settler colonial studies, this series is open to scholars of any discipline who work in this area.

Workshops will be held on a weekly basis, at the University of Cambridge during term time (Easter Term: 23 April to 14 June 2019). Unfortunately, as this is a student-run workshop, presenters will need to cover any travel or accommodation expenses themselves.

If you are interested in taking part in this workshop series, please email a 250-word abstract and separate 150-word biography to Meg Foster, settlercolonialismworkshop@gmail.com by 1 April 2019. Please direct any queries about the workshops to the same address.
